Eco-BLAC ash brick recycles industrial waste
A team of MIT students have developed a brick made from industrial ash waste. In addition to using waste in its production, alkali activation technology is used, which means the brick can cure at room temperature, further reducing the environmental impact by eliminating the need for a kiln.
This project has the potential to change the face of building in India while also eliminating loss of top soil, reducing smoke from brick kilns and avoiding environmental damage from the dumping of ash.
Can your industrial waste be turned into an environmental saving, money making product?
