Project: On-going customer satisfaction research for Whiter Smile NZ. Providing an evidence base for company expansion, launch of additional locations and improvement of services.

WINTON COMBINED SPORTS PAVILION FEASIBILITY STUDY

Project: Full feasibility study for proposed combined sports pavilion in Winton for Football, League, Touch and Cricket + additional community group users.
Client: Winton Football Club

Project: Technical evaluation of heating requirements for Central Southland Community Swimming Pool and feasibility investigations into replacement swimming pool boiler options.

Services: Technical assessment of pool heating requirements, replacement boiler options, life-cycle cost estimates and recommendations.

VENTURE SOUTHLAND COMMUNITY ORGANISATIONS NEEDS ASSESSMENT RESEARCH PROJECT

Project: Large scale region-wide Needs Assessment. This research project investigated the needs, challenges and opportunities faced by community organisations throughout Southland. Organisations consulted included, health providers, cultural groups, emergency services, early childhood education, youth and community development, environmental and sporting organisations.
Client: Venture Southland & Community Trust of Southland.
Services: x 3 stakeholder meetings, x 10 focus groups, x 255 phone interviews, data collation and analysis, reporting and recommendations.

EASTERN SOUTHLAND HOCKEY TURF DEVELOPMENT

Project: Water based hockey turf development and construction project management.
Client: Eastern Southland Hockey Association

Project: Project Management and facilitation of professional hockey turf cleaning.

BRIGHTON SURF LIFE SAVING CLUB REDEVELOPMENT FEASIBILITY

Project: Feasibility study including preliminary costings and development options for the expansion of the Brighton Surf Life Saving Club.

DUNEDIN YOUTH EXPO RESEARCH

Project: To undertake an evaluation of the impact and effectiveness of the Dunedin Youth Expo as a medium for health education in Otago.
Client: Dunedin Youth Expo - Major health and well being expo based on the principals of Whare Tapa Wha.
Services: In-school research conducted in five Otago schools including focus groups and survey based research. Analysis, reporting and recommendations. Evaluation of delivery model effectiveness and advisory services.

Project: Detailed feasibility study investigating the potential to establish a major indoor sporting facility in Balclutha.

HOCKEY SOUTHLAND - Twin water turf development

Project: Simultaneous development of two side-by-side international standard water turfs in Invercargill.
Client: Hockey Southland.

GREENMEADOWS SPORTS PAVILION & RECREATION AREA

Project: Feasibility review and impartial research for the upgrade of public toilets and shared sports pavilion facilities on Greenmeadows
Client: Nelson City Council
Services: Feasibility study including, focus groups and a comprehensive survey of public, local residents and the three major sports using the facility. Stakeholder discussions, user numbers projections, redevelopment options and preliminary pricing were also an essential part of this process.

SELWYN COLLEGE REDEVELOPMENT

Project: Feasibility study and development options for one of Dunedin’s most renowned student residences.
Client: Selwyn College Dunedin
Services: Feasibility study for the potential expansion of the college to accommodate additional postgraduate students and the redevelopment or replacement of a number of existing buildings. Feasibility included detailed research into culture, student and staff requirements, areas in most need of improvement, multiple development options and financial modelling.

McMILLAN HOCKEY PAVILION & WATER TURF

Project: New international standard water based hockey turf & pavilion facility
Client: Otago Hockey Association
Services: Feasibility and planning, trust setup, fundraising management, project and construction management.

SUNNYVALE SPORTS CENTRE REDEVELOPMENT

Project: Major upgrade and redevelopment of Dunedin’s Sunnyvale Sports Centre (original building constructed in 1974). Proposed redevelopment to include doubles squash court, resurfaced gymnasium, upgraded entrance, new lounge space, kitchen, bar and office space (potentially incorporating Squash Otago and Soccer South).
Client: Green Island Combined Sports Bodies.

Project: Physical activity strategy to review the current situation and identify strategies to enhance involvement in physical activity within the Marlborough District of NZ.
Client: Marlborough District Council (plus SPARC and regional stakeholders).
Services: Research (including: review of evidence, large scale resident survey, multiple focus groups, stakeholder interviews & site visits), SWOT analysis, consultation, strategy development, implementation plan and reporting.

WAITAKI DISTRICT PHYSICAL ACTIVITY STRATEGY

OTAGO POLYTECHNIC MULTI-MARKET RESEARCH

Project: To research the perception, marketing effectiveness of the Otago Polytechnic across a wide spectrum of the target market. Identify selling points, decision prompts and make clear recommendations to the Otago Polytechnic.
Client: Otago Polytechnic
Services: Project management, multi-market research and analysis (including existing students, high school students, 92 Otago businesses and employers) SWOT analysis, recommendations and development of marketing suggestions.

During this project over 600 people were exposed to the proactive and professional approach taken by Otago Polytechnic, via Impact Consulting, in finding ways to improve. In all, 14 recommendations or outcomes were made to Otago Polytechnic during the two parts of the project. Otago Polytechnic has implemented the recommendations into its promotional campaign.

HIGH PERFORMANCE CENTRE DUNEDIN

Project: Preparation of a full tender and proposal bid to gain a NZ Sports Foundation High Performance Sports Centre in Dunedin
Client: High Performance Centre Steering Committee
